Filling a Volumetric Pipet to the Calibration Mark

Put the solution to be measured in a beaker or other containment vessel. Make sure the volume of the solution exceeds the volume of the pipet. Place the tip of the pipet into the solution, and use the bulb to draw the solution above the calibration mark.
Remove the bulb and use your finger to adjust the level of solution to the mark.
Wipe away any solution that remains on the outside of the pipet.
