Solution is typically drawn into the pipet using a rubber bulb. Place the tip of the pipet into the solution. Squeeze the bulb and place it over the mouth of the pipet. Gently release the bulb to draw solution upward. When the level of solution is above the desired volume, remove the bulb and place a thumb or index finger over the mouth of the pipet.
The level of solution is lowered by allowing air into the mouth of the pipet. Partially lift your finger for slower dispensing. Remove your finger for quicker dispensing. Replace your finger to stop dispensing.
