Filling a Measuring Pipet to an Exact Volume previous page

Pour the solution to be measured in a beaker or other containment vessel. Make sure the volume of solution exceeds the volume you will be measuring. Place the tip of the pipet into the solution, and use the bulb to draw up an excess volume of solution.
Remove the bulb and use your finger to adjust the level of solution to the desired volume. Wipe away any solution that remains on the outside of the pipet. |
